The heartbroken family of a tragic grandfather who was killed in a road crash have described him as “one of the nicest men you could ever meet”.
John Burns, of Alloa, died following the collision on the A907 near Helensfield in Clackmannanshire last week. The 58-year-old’s wife said she has lost “the love of my life”.
Gillian Burns said: “He was one of the nicest men you could ever meet. He was kind to everybody and always friendly.
“He was the love of my life and had been since we were teenagers. I am heartbroken and can’t imagine my life without him. I have had the best years with him.
“He was a much loved husband, father, step-father and grandfather. He will be missed not just by me but by his whole family.”
The blue Nissan Qashqai Mr Burns was driving crashed around 8.30am on Saturday July 13. Police closed the road for three hours while they carried out a full investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call police on 101.
