The creator of Alan Partridge has urged his 353,069 followers on Twitter to support a homeless ex-serviceman after reading an article in The Courier.
Christian Nock, 39, made quite an impact when he arrived in Dundee over the Tay Bridge barefoot and eating a Toblerone, in tribute to his comedy hero, on Tuesday.
His bizarre Alan Partridge reference caught the attention of comedy writer Armando Iannucci who tweeted his support, boosting views of his story, and wished him all the best in his journey.
Christian has spent a year travelling from Blackpool, where he found himself homeless, and has been sleeping rough along the UK’s coast.
So far he has travelled more than 4,000 miles, wearing out 11 pairs of boots, but has around another 3,500 miles to go.
His journey has inspired 18,112 likes through his Facebook page, Christian Around Britain, and many of his fans have come out to meet him along the way.
His efforts have so far helped raise £91,763 for Help for Heroes and people can support his cause at www.christianaroundbritain.co.uk.
Christian told The Courier that one of his fans in Dundee was taking him to see the Alan Partridge film before he moves on from the city to continue his journey.
