A man has died after being found injured at a Fife flat.
Emergency services were called to the flat in Forth View, Kirkcaldy just after 5am on Thursday. They found the 45-year-old man seriously injured before he died on the scene.
A man and woman are helping police with their inquiries. The flats were cordoned off on Thursday as forensic officers searched the area and neighbours were interviewed.
DI Gary Boyd said: “We can confirm that police are investigating a suspicious death that happened within a flat in Forth View in Kirkcaldy earlier today.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened within the flat, and a man and a woman are currently helping police with their inquiries.
“At this time I would like to provide reassurance that this is an isolated incident, and there is no wider risk to the public. There is an increased police presence in the area as we carry out our inquiries, and officers are carrying out additional patrols in order to provide reassurance to local residents.”
