The Courier investigates: Scotland’s School Report
ByStefan Morkis
The long weeks of the summer holidays are over and, across Scotland, children are preparing to go back to school.
But not everything in the classroom is as it should be.
This week The Courier’s three-day School Report looks at violence in the classroom.
We reveal how many teachers have been hospitalised by their own pupils and how much it costs councils to look after children deemed too unruly to stay in a normal classroom.
We will also hear from teachers about their experiences in schools good and bad and explore how the internet is allowing bullies to torment their victims, whether teachers or pupils, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For the first part of our special series see Tuesday’s Courier or try our digital edition.
