Drivers were caught by ‘shear’ surprise after a runaway sheep decided to have a stroll on a dual carriageway.
The animal left motorists bleating with frustration when it held up traffic on the eastbound lane of the A90 after going on the lam(b) near Errol on Thursday afternoon.
The escaped sheep did its best to pull the wool over the eyes of a paramedic who decided to try to guide the wanderer to safety in a nearby field.
In a dramatic last twist the meandering animal made a quick dash across the opposite carriageway, narrowly avoiding a ram from passing traffic, before settling in a field.
