18-year-old pedestrian suffers serious head injuries in Markinch car accident

Fife Police are appealing for information after a teenager was seriously injured in a collision on Saturday.
The incident, involving a blue Nissan Navara and a pedestrian, happened at around 8.10pm on Saturday in Balbirnie Street in Markinch, near John Dixon Park.
The pedestrian, an 18-year-old local man, was taken to Victoria Hospital with head injuries. His condition was described as ”serious but stable”.
The man driving the car was uninjured.
The road was closed for a short time to allow police to carry out investigations.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision, or saw the pedestrian or car shortly before the incident, to contact them on 0845 600 5702.
