A Dundee man who had sex with two underage girls in Angus has been spared jail.
Donny McKenzie, 20, of Balunie Terrace, was placed on probation for three years when he appeared before Sheriff Peter Paterson at Arbroath.
McKenzie who sent Facebook friend requests to girls before asking to meet up with them was also placed on the sex offenders register for three years with a requirement to attend the Tay Project for assessment.
He previously pleaded guilty to repeatedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl in Arbroath between December 7 2010 and January 8 2011. McKenzie also admitted having sex with another 15-year-old girl in Arbroath on November 19 2011.
He also admitted three further charges of threatening or abusive behaviour, including telling one of the girls he was going to hang himself.
The first girl, who was aged 15, was in a short-term relationship with him which started after a chance meeting in Arbroath.
McKenzie met up with the second girl after he sent her a friend request on Facebook. McKenzie also admitted threatening to punch another girl after he phoned her and heard male voices.
