Kingdom FM has launched this year’s Local Hero Awards at its base in Markinch and is seeking Fife’s finest to grace its list of nominees. The radio station will present 13 awards to worthy winners from across the region at a glittering ceremony in Glenrothes next month. Blair Crofts, station director at Kingdom FM, said: “This is our sixth year and we are wanting to build on what we have done in the past. “We’ve been greatly encouraged by the nominations we have received so far and we are receiving them from far and wide.” A number of partners are supporting the event, including The Courier. Mr Crofts added: “There are a great number of heroes in Fife and this is a great way of recognising them.” Nominations can be made via post to Kingdom FM, Haig House, Haig Business Park, Markinch, KY7 6AQ.
