Band on the run: Red Hot Chilli Pipers in Perth Kilt Race record bid
ByThe Courier Reporter
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers will be leading the musical entertainment at the Perth Kilt Run.
After the race on Saturday August 10, kilt runners and the crowds of supporters at Perth’s North Inch will be entertained by the band, hopefully in celebration of a successful attempt to break the kilt race world record currently held by twin city Perth, Ontario.
So keen are the patriotic pipers that this year’s record attempt is a success, members of the band will join the kilted runners as they bid to secure the kilt race world record for Scotland.
A band spokesperson said: “We’ll never forget that cold November night last year when we were honoured to be asked to help switch on Perth’s Christmas lights and then we rocked the crowds in the High Street. That was one amazing party.
“We can’t wait to join the people of Perth again and the runners in the Perth Kilt Run.”
