An Angus man has admitted threatening violence against a woman and her unborn child.
Lee Tough, 23, of Glenmoy Terrace, Forfar, appeared at the town’s sheriff court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to an incident which took place at an address in Forfar on June 12.
He admitted acting in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting and swearing at a woman, threatening her with violence, pushing her on the body, threatening her unborn child with violence and preventing her from leaving the property during the incident on the day in question.
He also accepted he resisted and struggled violently with two police officers while they tried to restrain him at the West Bell Street police station in Dundee the following day, and that he caused a breach of the peace by shouting, swearing and making abusive remarks.
Sheriff Kevin Veal deferred sentencing Tough until August 15 and granted him bail.
