For one night only the RSPB is offering visitors the chance to camp out in the wild on the spectacular Loch Leven nature reserve.
The Big Wild Sleep Out invites participants to bring along their tent, go out on a night walk, enjoy story telling round the campfire and wake up in a beautiful part of Scotland for a dawn walk.
Staff at the nature reserve will provide family-friendly activities, barbecue facilities (bring your own food), guided walks, storytelling around the campfire, catching moths, dawn walks and breakfast on Friday August 9.
“This is a brilliant opportunity to camp in the great outdoors and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Loch Leven,” said RSPB Loch Leven’s Judy Paul.
“I’m leading a host of activities such as storytelling and marshmallow toasting round the camp fire.
“People of all ages are welcome to come along and all proceeds go towards nature conservation helping to give a home to the wildlife you may encounter during your big wild sleep out.”
The Big Wild Sleep Out begins at 5.30pm and is priced £35 for adults (£25 members) and £15 for children (£10 members).
Alternatively, families are challenged to raise £100 sponsorship, with entry to the sleep out significantly reduced as a result.
After a dawn walk on Saturday, breakfast will be provided by the Loch Leven team before the event finishes at 10am.
