The family of Dundee dad Craig Knapp, 31, who died tragically on holiday in Magaluf, have launched a campaign to raise £10,000 to bring his body home.
Mr Knapp fell from the 10th floor of a building on the island of Majorca, on July 8.
The ‘Bring Craig Home Fund’ was opened on Monday and aims to raise the £10,000 needed to repatriate his body to be laid to rest in Dundee.
So far 117 people have donated more than £1,800 towards the fund.
Hibernian star Scott Robertson has donated a Hibs shirt signed by the entire squad, which is one of many items listed for a Facebook auction.
There are also a number of events being organised to help reach the £10,000 figure, including an exhibition mixed-martial arts match at the Karma nightclub this month.
The main event of the fight, which is taking place on July 28, will be Ronnie ‘The Shark’ Clark against Scott ‘Title Taker’ Allan.
Mr Clark, a former kickboxing world champion, said he wanted to take part in the event to help the bereaved family in their time of crisis.
“It is just about getting everyone behind the fundraising,” he said. “This was a Dundee person and Dundee sticks together.”
Alongside the exhibition match, a raffle has also been organised with a large number of prizes donated by companies from across Dundee.
“Loads of Dundee companies are donating and everybody is showing their support for the family,” said photographer Lindsay Philip, who is helping to organise the raffle.
