Urban heroes Professor Green and Chipmunk lead the new acts announced for T in the Park.
With only 57 days until this year’s festival at Balado, organiser DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager added an array of the best new urban acts.
Odd Future (or Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All), Labrinth and Wretch 32 will also take to the festival’s stages across the weekend of July 8-10. The additions come less than a week after megastar Beyonce was announced.
Hackney-born rapper Professor Green has hit the mainstream. His debut album Alive Til I’m Dead reached number two and was certified gold.
Originally signed by Mike Skinner of The Streets, his new album At Your Inconvenience doesn’t hit the shops until August, so T in the Parkers will get a sneak preview.
“I love Scotland so I was delighted to get an invite to perform.”
At only 20 years old, Chipmunk has had five top-10 hits, including number one single Oopsy Daisy.
He proved he is indeed a champion of British music when he released a track with Chris Brown called exactly that, the first track from his new album Transition.
Los Angeles hip-hop collective Odd Future, led by anti-establishment visionary Tyler the Creator, are probably the most talked-about new group in the world. Look forward to a show to remember.
They join the acts already announced including Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Beyonce, Pulp, Slash, Tom Jones, The View and more.
Although all weekend and day tickets are sold out, a limited number of T in the Park residence packages are still available.
The residence offers festivalgoers a bespoke experience, including a luxury weekend home, lounge cafe, bar and even a spa.For more information, visit www.tinthepark.com/residence.
