Baxter Park car vandalism trial to hear from 70 witnesses

A 60-year-old Dundee man accused of scratching 40 cars in the Baxter Park area of the city will stand trial in July.

John Fearn, of Alloway Terrace, denies that between February 19 and 20 on Park Terrace, Baxter Park Terrace, Madeira Street, Charlotte Street, Mains Loan, Argyle Street, Forfar Road and Clepington Road, he maliciously damaged 40 cars by scratching them with a sharp object.

The court heard that 70 witnesses will be called in the forthcoming trial.

Sheriff Duff continued the case to trial on July 12. An intermediate hearing will be held on July 6.
