A woman was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg after a taxi crashed into a wall in Kirkcaldy. The incident happened at East Bridge, near Hutchison’s Flour Mill, at around 11.20am on Tuesday when the Fiat Berlingo left the road. The woman, who was understood to be a passenger, was released from the vehicle by firefighters and taken to Victoria Hospital. She has a suspected broken femur. An elderly female passer-by was also treated for shock by paramedics. A spokesman for the police confirmed a man had been detained in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at court in due course.
