A Dundee nurse has been cleared of wrongdoing at a city care home by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Fiona Margaret Kydd was accused of failing to report a safeguarding issue in a timely manner while she was deputy manager of Tullideph Care Home in March 2011.
The nature of the issue was not specified in the judgment issued by the NMC on Thursday after a hearing in Edinburgh.
The charge, which she denied, said the issue should have been reported to the regional manager, the social services department, the resident’s family and the Care Inspectorate.
She resigned from her post during an internal investigation into the matter and now works as a staff nurse elsewhere.
The NMC panel heard there was evidence of good practice and remediation by Ms Kydd, who provided positive references there have been no other disciplinary matters brought against her.
The references also said she had been open and honest with her current employer about the events which led to her resignation at Tullideph.
The circumstances surrounding the case were said to be highly unusual and no evidence was offered on the factual allegation against her.
