Despite torrential rain for almost the entire day, this year’s Fife Show was a huge success.
Thousands braved the weather and headed for Kinloss Park, Cupar, on Saturday for one of Scotland’s largest traditional agricultural shows.
It was dry when the showground opened at 8.30am but the heavens opened mid-morning, drenching competitors, judges and spectators.
The mud underfoot made wellies a necessity and rain macs and hoods were the order of the day.
The mood remained upbeat, however, as families and farmers mingled to view the numerous events.Photo gallery: Fife Show 2013These ranged from sheep, cows and horses to falconry and motorbike displays, clay pigeon shooting, children’s quads and vintage tractors.
Aside from the competitions and game fair, trade stands were set up around the ground, along with the Fife Craft Tent.
There were also cookery displays by Wullie Balfour from Elmwood College and Puddledub Buffalo Farm, with their buffalo burgers proving tempting.
Children were not left out, with games set up around the field and a chance to visit the animals before their events began.
