St Johnstone will enter Europa League qualifying at second stage

St Johnstone will enter the Europa League at the second qualifying round stage, with the first leg played on July 18 and the second a week later.
They will learn who their opponents will be when the draw for both the first and second qualifying rounds takes place at Uefa headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on June 24.
The Perth men’s status is unaffected by the outcome of Sunday’s Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Hibs but the result of that game could affect Motherwell.
The Steelmen, as SPL runners-up, are scheduled to go into the second qualifying round along with St Johnstone, with the cup winners entering the third qualifying stage.
However, if the Hoops, who will play Champions League football next season, lift the trophy then Well will be promoted to the position of Scotland’s “second” team and go into the third phase on August 1 and 8, with Hibs joining Saints a fortnight earlier.
Among the more notable clubs Steve Lomas’s side could face are Anorthorsis (Cyprus), Malmo (Sweden), Rosenborg (Norway), Linfield (Northern Ireland), Maccabi Haifa (Israel) and Derry City (Republic of Ireland).
