No new deal for St Johnstone midfielder Jamie Adams

Jamie Adams will not be offered a new deal by St Johnstone.
The midfielder has been cursed by injury in his time at McDiarmid Park, and is recovering from a back operation. Though he will now have to find another club, Adams will be allowed to complete his recuperation at Perth.
Saints boss Steve Lomas said yesterday: “We’ve got no problems with Jamie getting treatment here. We’ll do the right thing by him.
“It will probably be another couple of months for him at least. Jamie’s been really unlucky with injuries since I came here. I think he’s only played something like five games.
“It was the same with Mooner (Kevin Moon). That’s the unfortunate part of the game. It’s hard for boys who are out for a long time.”
Meanwhile, Lomas is still waiting to hear what his budget will be for next season from chairman Steve Brown. The futures of the other out-of-contract men will become clearer at that point.
“I’d like to think it will happen soon,” said Lomas.
He confirmed his interest in signing left-back Brian Easton, who will not be staying with Dundee for another season.
