The trustees of the Aberbrothock Skea Trust recently agreed to make a £2,000 donation to Arbroath Town Mission.
Ian Townsend visited the centre and met staff, volunteers and users. The centre provides facilities in the interest of social welfare to support and improve the conditions of life for inhabitants of Arbroath.
The money will be put towards the purchase of a replacement minibus with appropriate tail lift. That will ensure travel for the elderly to attend the daily day unit at the centre.
Mr Townsend said: “The trustees of Aberbrothock Skea Trust are very aware of the significant contribution made by the Arbroath Town Mission in supporting the people of Arbroath and are happy to support the minibus replacement project ensuring suitable transport is available to bring users to the excellent daycare services at the mission.”
Aberbrothock Skea Trust continues to support charitable organisations throughout Angus and the East of Scotland.
