A man has been admitted to hospital after a daylight attack.
The 23-year-old was assaulted by two men in the St George’s Cross area of Glasgow on Friday at around 4.45pm.
He was admitted to Western Infirmary with a head injury and his current condition is not known. Police are keen to talk to two elderly women on St Peter’s Path at the time of the assault.
Detective Sergeant Ogilvie Ross said: “There would have been people around at this time of the day and it’s possible someone saw something suspicious.
“I am appealing to local residents and to anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch with us. It may be that you think your information is insignificant but please let us be the judge of that and please do contact us.”
One attacker is white, around 6ft and has a heavy build. He is aged 26-28 with short black hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit.
The other attacker is white with a tanned complexion, around 5ft 11in, in his 30s and was wearing a white t-shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0141 532 3555 or call 101.
