A 13-year-old girl was forced to run away in terror after a man indecently exposed himself in broad daylight on South Road.
Police rushed to the scene of the incident, which happened on the grassland side of the road at about 3.45pm on Wednesday.
The teenager ran westwards on South Road after the incident, while the man, said to be about 40, ran in the opposite direction.
A police spokesman said: “As the young lady was approaching the grassland area of South Road a man around 40 years of age, white, about 5ft 10in, of average build, wearing a black jacket and black trousers and a black tammy, exposed himself in the direction of the young lady.
“This caused the young lady to immediately run from the locus in the direction of Tesco South Road, whilst the male was last spotted heading in the direction of Lochee High Street.
“Anyone who has any information that could lead to identifying the male responsible should contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
