A three-mile stretch of the M90 between Bridge of Earn and Balmanno Hill is to undergo improvement works worth £180,000.
The works, which start on Monday and run for five days, will involve repairs to the surface of the southbound carriageway.
A contraflow with a 50mph speed limit, will be put in place to help keep workers and motorists safe during this time.
Traffic management systems will be in place from Sunday until Saturday, June 7.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit representative, said: “These works will repair a number of surface defects which will improve the general condition of the road for motorists.
“The works are being carried out using a 24-hour contraflow system, which means some delays are possible at peak times.
“We would encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time for travel.”
The works are being carried out by Breedon Aggregates and materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using Sepa- approved methods.
