The sunny weather looks set to continue this weekend.
Today the cloud will burn back along the east coast leaving a bright day with sunshine and a maximum temperature of 22C possible, according to Met Office predictions.
Over the weekend and on Monday the forecast is for high pressure which will bring mostly dry, settled weather.
There will be some warm sunshine and light wind, but the only downside will be coastal mist patches at night and early in the morning.
A local forecaster said Perthshire and parts of Fife will see the best of the temperatures, possibly reaching highs of 22C.
Those heading to the beaches around St Andrews or up to Montrose can expect the light sea breeze to bring temperatures down to around 16C or 17C.
The forecaster said: “It will definitely be warmest inland, but it will be pleasant everywhere.”
He added it was too early to say if the fine weather would last beyond the beginning of next week, with chances of showers on Tuesday.
