An Arbroath teenager died tragically after falling ill during a dance class on Thursday.
Popular Highland dancer Kloe Richardson, 15, was taking part in a session at Knox’s Church in the town when she became unwell.
The Arbroath Academy pupil was rushed to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance, with two police cars providing an escort.
Several roads were closed as they sped through Arbroath and Dundee in a bid to get the girl to hospital as quickly as possible.
She was pronounced dead a short time later at Ninewells.
Academy head teacher Doreen Redfern said: “Our thoughts are with Kloe’s family at this difficult time. Kloe was a popular and bright girl who will be greatly missed.”
