The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will visit The Courier today as their programme of engagements in Scotland continues.
Charles and Camilla, known in Scotland as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, will attend a series of events in the east coast city throughout the day.
The couple will begin the day with a joint engagement, when they will visit DC Thomson on the Kingsway. The royals will meet employees and members of the Thomson family before starting the firm’s new printing press.
Later on in the day, Charles will visit the city’s Prince’s Trust Centre to meet young people taking part in programme to get them involved in engineering.
He will also visit a city project known as the Grey Lodge Settlement, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary, before completing the day with an Edinburgh reception to mark the 40th anniversary of the Gaelic Language College of the University of the Highlands and Islands.
The Duchess will learn about the work of various charities she has links with during a trip to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital, including diabetes charity JDRF and the Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Her day of engagements will end with a meeting with representatives of the War Memorials Trust, of which she is patron. Camilla will highlight the trust’s work to reduce thefts of war memorials.
