Dundee boss John Brown has declared himself satisfied with the squad at his disposal and will not be bringing in any further reinforcements.
The Dark Blues signed goalkeeper Dan Twardzik earlier this week as backup to No 1 stopper Kyle Letheren.
That move was sanctioned by the new Dundee board on Monday night and the directors also asked Brown if there were any other areas he would like to strengthen.
However, the manager has decided to keep faith with the players currently at Dens for now.
Brown said: “Bringing Dan in has taken a wee bit of pressure off Kyle. Dan is a decent keeper and I will have no hesitation in putting him in if there is any dip in form by Kyle or he is injured.
“John Gibson should be back in a month so we will have good competition in that position.
“There was a board meeting on Monday night and they sanctioned bringing in a goalkeeper.
“They asked if I felt as though we needed to strengthen in any other areas but, at the moment, I would just leave it at that.
“Obviously, we have added to the budget bringing a new keeper in so at the moment we are just running with what we have got.”
That squad has taken a fair bit of stick from the fans in the last two home games as they have struggled to break down Alloa in the league and Forfar on Tuesday night in the Ramsdens Cup.
When Brown was asked if there would actually be less pressure on his team playing away from home on Saturday at Raith Rovers, the manager dismissed the notion.
Instead, he insisted that he is learning a lot about his players by the way they handle the heat from the supporters.
He added: “I don’t buy into the pressure of playing at home just go out and enjoy your football.
“If you play the correct way and have the right movement, then you will create chances and hopefully score goals.
“You are going to get stick anyway whether you’re playing well or not.
“There are always punters who will be on your case just because they don’t like the look of you.
“I just say to the players to concentrate on football. The other night we didn’t create so the fans were frustrated and we were frustrated because we could not unlock a well-organised Forfar defence.
“The fans have a right to be on their case but that in turn tells me what sort of characters I’ve got and how they handle that.
“Do they still want the ball or do they turn their back on it? That tells me what I have in my squad.”
The victory over Forfar looked to have come at a cost with several key players picking up injuries.
However, Brown is keeping his fingers crossed that he will have at least some of the walking wounded available against Raith as his side prepare for three games in the space of a week.
He said: “Kevin McBride trained today which was a pleasant surprise as he seemed to be struggling with a back problem.
“Peter MacDonald picked up a dead leg but he should be OK and we just took off Gavin Rae against Forfar as a precaution at half-time. He had hit a shot and felt a muscle in his stomach area.
“So hopefully they will be fine. Iain Davidson is more of a concern as he is really struggling with an ankle.
“I will have to see as we have the Raith game, then the matches on Tuesday and Friday.
“Nicky Riley has started doing light training but it will be a couple of matches before he comes into contention. It is a medial ligament and we want to get him right.”
