Police in High Valleyfield have appealed for witnesses after a shop was broken into in the early hours of Monday.
Thieves forced entry to the Co-op store in Chapel Street at around 3am and stole what officers have described as a ”quantity” of tobacco.
Detective Inspector Michelle Johnson said: ” We believe this may have been an organised break-in. Therefore, I would ask anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the area in the hours, or even days, beforehand to contact us.
”Whether it was someone hanging about, or an unfamiliar car or van seen in the vicinity of the shop, I would appeal for anyone who has any information to contact us.”
Anyone with information on the break-in should contact Fife police on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
