Shahbaz Majeed was commended in the seascape category after capturing the iconic structure from a vantage point above North Queensferry. The self-taught 33-year-old spent hours searching for the perfect place to take the photograph. He eventually settled on an unusual view looking south towards the Pentland Hills. Shahbaz, who is vice-president of the Dundee Photographic Society, had six of his images shortlisted for awards at the annual competition. His efforts will now be rewarded with a place in its exhibition.
