Essential work will be carried out on the Friarton Bridge over the weekend.
The northbound carriageway of the M90 will be closed overnight between April 27 and 30 to allow maintenance to be carried out.
A team from Bear Scotland will replace one of the existing bridge expansion joints as part of the programme of improvements.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and the public, the northbound carriageway of the bridge will be closed between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
Motorists will be diverted through Perth via the Broxden Roundabout and Glasgow Road.
Bear Scotland’s north east representative Andy Thompson said: “These works will remove and replace the existing damaged expansion joint, improving safety and the general condition of the road and enhance ride quality for motorists.
“The works are being carried out overnight to minimise delays.”
Even so, he urged drivers to plan their journeys and allow extra time for them.
