‘Extremely positive’ April for Perthshire house sales
ByPaul Reoch
April was a bumper month for sales, according to Perthshire property bosses.
Perthshire Solicitors’ Property Centre’s (PSPC) statistics suggest there is an improving picture, with 94 homes sold during last month generating income of more than £15 million.
The average sale reached just over £160,000, with villas and flats doing particularly well.
Anne Begg, PSPC manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted to report that April has been an extremely positive month for PSPC, despite many continuing to experience a difficult financial climate.
“As well as a significant sales increase, coupled with an upsurge in the number of new properties coming onto the market, the footfall within the property centre has been extraordinary.
“This has created a real buzz and optimistic air as we head into the summer months. We have experienced a particularly long winter, which makes it even more heartening to see these positive signs.”
