Coming up in The Courier Dundee United legend Paul Sturrock remembers ‘83

Courier sports writer Ian Roache travelled down to Essex to chat with Dundee United legend Paul Sturrock to mark the 30th anniversary of the club’s Premier League title win.

Friday’s first instalment of the three-part series sees Luggy recall the glorious day at Dens Park when the Tangerines became champions, reveal the next-day escapades in Forfar and discuss a certain European Cup scandal.

On Saturday, Luggy looks back on his time at Southend, the controversial parting of the ways and talks about the strong bond he still has with St Johnstone.

Then it is on to Monday the eve of the anniversary when Sturrock will run the rule over the men who conquered Scotland in 1983, including himself!
