A woman was left bleeding from the head after her partner attacked her with a can of deodorant, Dundee Sheriff Court heard.
Scott Ross, 34, of Court Street, Dundee, admitted assaulting the woman by punching her in the head and repeatedly striking her with a canister of deodorant to her injury on January 2.
Fiscal depute Eilidh Robertson told the court the pair had been drinking when an argument broke out and Ross started packing his things, which included the tin of deodorant.
During the argument he repeatedly struck her on the head with the deodorant, at which point she ran into the common close and began shouting for help.
Neighbours called the police who found the 29-year-old victim bleeding from a 6mm head wound and paramedics were called to treat her injury.
Sheriff Elizabeth Munro deferred sentence until February 2 for reports.
