Two Tayside firemen have been charged over an alleged attack on a Dundee man.
The men, aged 43 and 35, were detained on January 2 over the alleged assault on a 23-year-old taxi driver on Brook Street, Broughty Ferry.
It is understood one of the men works in Dundee and the other in Perth.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the allegations involved two of its staff, but the men have not been suspended and are continuing in their roles.
A spokesman said: “As this matter is being dealt with by the procurator fiscal, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
It is claimed that the incident happened after the driver asked the passengers in his cab to stop eating in his vehicle.
The two accused were detained and later charged at police HQ on Bell Street.
