Woman’s body discovered on Broughty Ferry beach

A woman’s body has been discovered on Broughty Ferry beach.

A massive police operation is underway after the 59-year-old’s remains were spotted near the west end of Douglas Terrace, at around 8.20am.

Five police units have sealed off the area while special investigations officers comb the scene.

The operation is on-going.

A police spokesman said:”There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
