Since it was launched in January 2005, the act has given people greater access to information than ever before. It has also made it more difficult for governments, councils and other public bodies to hide things they’d rather you didn’t find out about. However, it has also cost public bodies money to process freedom of information requests. In Tuesday’s Courier we’ll be looking at some of the biggest stories broken using Freedom of Information legislation.
