Traffic lights will be installed on the A9 this weekend as overhead power lines are repaired.
Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution will be carrying out essential refurbishment works in the Pitlochry area.
Part of this project involves replacing the poles that support overhead lines, which cross both the A9 dual carriageway and the Perth/Inverness railway line at Moulinearn.
To carry out the work safely, a traffic light system will be in place on both carriageways of the A9 at this location for the duration of the works.
Disruption for motorists should be minimal, however, as the works should be completed between midnight on Saturday and 6.30am on Sunday.
