A man appeared in private before Sheriff Lindsay Foulis at Perth, charged with driving his car at a police vehicle and, in the process, attempting to murder an officer.
Andrew Hills (50), Gamekeepers Walk, Kinnesswood, Kinross-shire, faces a charge that, on Friday on the unclassified Nivingston to Cleish road, the B9097 Kinglassie to Crook of Devon road, the A977 Kincardine to Kinross road, the B918, the A91 and Stirling and Burleigh Roads, both Milnathort, he drove dangerously by driving at excessive speeds, failed to stop when required to do so by police officers, drove on to a verge too close to horses who were on the road, drove a car into a police vehicle and knocked its door off and collided with another police vehicle.
Hills faces another charge that, on the same date on the B918 road outside Burnbrae Farm House, he assaulted a PC by driving his car directly at him, causing the officer to take evasive action to avoid being struck and attempted to murder him.
He faces a further charge that, on the B9097, he behaved in a threatening manner by threatening to kill police officers.
Hills made no plea or declaration and was given bail.
