A Dundee pensioner has told of her terrifying ordeal after her home was raided by a robber.
Isobel McKinnon (83) was in her living room on Sunday afternoon when a woman arrived at the door asking to use her toilet.
She then forced her way into the home in Charleston.
Miss McKinnon said: “I thought she was going to kill me. The cat heard a noise before I did I just heard a squeaky noise and opened the door and she asked if she could use the toilet.”
When she said ‘no’, the woman pushed past her and went into the living room.
Miss McKinnon went to pull the emergency cord to get the police but the intruder held her away.
The robber then let go of her victim and asked for her purse, which she snatched from her pocket before running away.
The woman stole the purse, containing £100, a bus pass and house keys.
The suspect is described as being about 30 with long, straight brown or blonde hair. She was wearing a grey jacket at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101.
