Family and friends of tragic Angus man Ross Ramsay gathered to pay their final tribute to the talented musician.
Mourners met at George Stewart’s Chapel of Rest in Arbroath for the funeral service of Ross, whose body was found in the River Clyde in Glasgow earlier this month.
Ross, who was 30, had gone missing from his home in the Maryhill area of the city and was last seen leaving the Gala Casino on Sauchiehall Street on February 14.
He became the subject of a major missing person inquiry, but tragically his mum, Sandra, received the devastating news that a body discovered in the Clyde on March 11 was that of her son.
Ross had embarked on a promising career in the music and theatre industry and had recently secured a new job with the National Theatre of Scotland.
He was regarded as a friendly, modest and talented man, but one who was sadly affected by mental health issues his mother said had eventually led to his death.
She spoke to The Courier last week about her heartache following her son’s death and has vowed to raise awareness of the issues that affected her son.
