Bad weather and lower tides meant a number of attempts to move the flat-bottomed vessel had to be put off, while the crew of six stayed on board.
No pollution was reported during the Danio’s stay in the Farnes, which is an internationally important home for seabirds.
David Steel, National Trust head ranger on the islands, said the Danio was pulled clear in the early hours by a powerful tug boat and was being taken to the port of Blyth.
The Farne Islands are known for the thousands of puffins which live there, as well as 6,000 grey seals and more than 20 bird species which breed there.
Heroine Grace Darling won national fame aged just 22 after she carried out a daring rescue with her father William, who was a lighthouse keeper on one of the Farnes, in 1838.
