Jamie Stewart, 24, and Danny Stewart, 31, both from Kirriemuir, appeared at Arbroath Sheriff Court on Thursday following the incident last year. Jamie Stewart, Hillhead Terrace, admitted his part in the vandalism attack in Sidlaw Avenue, Arbroath, on September 23. Danny Stewart, of Milne’s Land, also pleaded guilty to the same offence. The court heard the pair had used weapons to target a car causing thousands of pounds worth of damage. The charge stated that they did, without reasonable excuse, wilfully or recklessly destroy property belonging to another. Both men admitted repeatedly striking a car with a baseball bat and an axe, or similar instruments, damaging the vehicle. The case called before Sheriff Peter Paterson with depute fiscal Hazel Anderson acting for the Crown Office. Sheriff Paterson called for reports and deferred sentence. The case is expected to call again on April 30.
