A violent thug who held up the Moto Service Station near his hometown of Kinross with a stun gun has had his prison sentence extended after smashing up his cell.
Jamie Miller caused more than £1,000-worth of damage at HMP Perth after being forced to wait for staff to provide him with an aspirin for a headache.
He destroyed his television, kettle, mirror, windows and washbasin and attacked light fittings and walls after refusing officers access to his cell.
The 24-year-old was eventually calmed and placed in segregation while the damage was assessed.
Miller was jailed for five years and four months in June last year after pleading guilty to threatening a petrol station worker with a stun gun during a botched raid.
Appearing at the High Court in Glasgow, he admitted using the weapon to try to force an employee to open the till on February 8 last year.
He also admitted producing a knife and threatening to stab his victim, who managed to run away.
Miller also admitted that, two days earlier, along with an accomplice, he robbed the David Sands Corner Store in North Street, Lochgelly, making off with £656.
At Perth Sheriff Court, he admitted smashing fixtures and fittings in a cell in Perth Prison’s C Hall on February 3.
Sheriff Michael Fletcher imposed an additional three-month sentence upon Miller.
