Carnoustie will celebrate Tartan Day on Saturday with a parade through the town.
The town’s pipe band will lead the 10.30am procession up the High Street from the Fairways Garage to the three halls on Dundee Street.
A Tartan Day fair will run in the Cadet and Comrie halls from 10am-1pm, with refreshments served in the Philip Hall by the gala committee.
Peter Burke, chairman of Carnoustie Development Group, said: “It looks as if once again we will have good weather for the parade on Saturday and it’s definitely warming up.
“If you haven’t done so already, pop into one of the local shops carrying our two Tartan Week quizzes So You Think You Know Scotland and Spot the Thistle.”
Entry forms for the quiz are available from McDougalls, Links to Scotland, Perfect Laundry and the Fobel Shop.
They cost 50p each with cash prizes for the first correct drawn entries.
