Police are investigating the sudden death of a 34-year-old man in Monifieth.
Paul McTaggart’s body was removed from a house in Milton Place on Wednesday. Police were at the quiet street for several hours carrying out inquiries.
Tearful relatives refused to speak about the tragedy and would only confirm the dead man’s name.
Plain-clothed police officers were parked in an unmarked car outside the property where the body was discovered.
A Tayside Police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that officers attended at an address in Milton Place, Monifieth, this morning following a report of the sudden death of a 34 year-old man.
“Inquiries are at an early stage and the death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
“As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
