Dudhope roundabout roadworks postponed due to calendar clash

The resurfacing of a major Dundee junction has been put off until after the start of the university year.
The city council intended to start the works at the Dudhope roundabout next Friday.
However, it was drawn to their attention that several hundred students will be arriving in the city that weekend for the start of their studies at the universities and colleges, and there are many student residences near the Dudhope roundabout.
Depute development convener Councillor Bill Campbell said: “The council responded to an appeal from Opal1 student accommodation about the planned work coinciding with a large number of students arriving in the city that weekend.
“We are pleased to help by postponing the resurfacing in the meantime.”
It has not been confirmed when the work will now go ahead.
