Doctors to be questioned after Scot Young hospital revelation

Doctors will be quizzed after it emerged businessman Scot Young left an NHS mental health facility hours before he fell 60ft to his death.

Mr Young, 52, from Dundee landed on metal railings outside a £3 million apartment in London earlier this month.

It has now emerged he had admitted himself to the NHS Gordon Hospital in central London on December 5.

Mr Young is reported to have walked out of the facility on December 8 and was dead hours later after showing up at his ex- girlfriend Noelle Reno’s apartment and warning her that he was going to jump.

Health workers were obliged to contact him within 24 hours for a checkup but he is said to have been dead by the time they called.

Doctors have now been accused of failing Mr Young, who had been sectioned two times previously.
