Fleetwood Town target Dundee United captain Jon Daly

DUNDEE UNITED captain Jon Daly has emerged as a target for Fleetwood Town boss Graham Alexander.
Despite only being a League Two side in England, Fleetwood have money to spend and are keen to snap up the Tannadice striker.
Daly, who is out of contract in the summer, is United’s leader in the dressing room as well as their top goalscorer and would be a huge loss for them should he head south.
He joined the Tangerines from English side Hartlepool in 2007, was a key member of the Scottish Cup-winning team and has made over 150 appearance for United, despite battling back from two serious knee injuries.
Ideally, manager Peter Houston would love to hang on to his skipper but former Scotland international Alexander is likely to be able to top any offer United can make to the Irishman.
Meanwhile, the club have dismissed suggestions they are showing an interest in former Slovenian defender Jure Travner, who is a former St Mirren player.
