A DRINK-DRIVER gave her neighbours a rude awakening after smashing into their garden in the early hours.
Alba Bernardis destroyed part of their wall and a wheelie bin as she tried to return to her Perth home following a get-together with friends.
The 21-year-old appeared in the dock at the city’s sheriff court on Tuesday, where she admitted her drunken error.
Solicitor Billy Somerville said: “She had been at a friend’s house and had been drinking. When she got there, the idea was to leave the car and collect it the next day.
“When she came away from the house, however, she felt she was able to drive and took the car.”
Bernardis, of Viewlands Terrace, admitted that on January 7, on Viewlands Road and Viewlands Place, she drove with excess alcohol (54 mics). The legal limit is 35 mics.
She also admitted driving without due care or attention, causing her car to collide with and destroy a garden wall and wheelie bin.
Bernardis was fined a total of £700 and was disqualified from driving for one year.
