THE FIRST day of an exhibition highlighting the revised vision for the V&A at Dundee has drawn visitors from across Courier Country.
Almost 100 people attended the event hosted by Abertay University, which shows images of the building now housed on land instead of the original design where it sat out above the Tay.
The exhibition also features a computer-generated video tour of the interior of the building and its surroundings, which show the museum built in pools of water to retain its connection with the river.
V&A at Dundee marketing manager Tara Wainwright said: “We have had people coming in groups to see the exhibition and asking very specific questions.
“The have been seeking reassurance that is still the iconic building that was promised.
“I think they have that reassurance and seem very happy and excited, with some people saying they think it is even better. Some people have taken more convincing than others.”
Miss Wainwright said visitors came from Angus and Fife as well as Dundee and included a variety of ages and occupations.
She added: “All the feedback is given to the architects and we are very lucky to have such huge public support.”
The exhibition, which is part of a 12-week public consultation, is open today and tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm.
